Facility Use Request

Watkinsville First Baptist is a church whose desire is to glorify God by making wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ. We are immensely blessed by the facilities and property that God has given us to use for Him and His glory. Our priority in facility use is first and foremost to honor God with the activities and meetings that we hold here. Thus, primary consideration is given to church-related events. Our facility allows for much of our ministry to be possible and therefore the buildings must be handled with great care, diligence and wisdom.

Outside church-related events, Watkinsville has a number of long-standing relationships with several community organizations for ongoing use of the facilities. Other local organizations and individuals have used the facilities for one-time or short-term usage. Availability for ongoing usage is limited, but can be considered.

As of 4/1/2023, all events sponsored by individuals or organizations other than Watkinsville First Baptist Church ministries will be charged a fee for cleaning/maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ Are any fees required to use your space?

Fees will be determined on an individual basis. Depending on your event, we may require a damage deposit, rental fee, cleaning fee, setup fee, or A/V Tech fee. The rental fee is waived for church members and some church-sponsored groups.

+ Can my group use a space for a weekly meeting?

We have very limited availability for events of this nature. Feel free to fill out the "Ongoing/Weekly Facility Request" form above to see if anything is available.

+ Can I have my wedding at the church?

Yes! Feel free to fill out the wedding ceremony request form above to inquire about using our space for your wedding. Weddings can be held in our chapel or worship center.

+ Can I have my wedding reception at the church?

We do not allow wedding receptions on church property.

+ Does the church have tables and chairs that I can use?

Most rooms contain tables and chairs. You are welcome to use them. Please indicate your needs on a facility use form.

+ Can I use the church's A/V equipment?

We allow outside groups to use A/V equipment, but it must be operated by an approved WFBC staff member. This service is $50/hour with a two hour minimum. If you need this service, there is a place to indicate that on the request forms.
