DEACON NOMINEES
Deacons at WFBC assist our church family in various hands-on ministry. They are put in place to serve the church body, protect the church body, care for the church body, pray for the church body, and administer the ordinances. Practically that looks like serving communion, praying with the Pastor each Sunday morning, assisting with First Step & Membership Class, helping with the Church Picnic, checking on needs of senior adults, service projects, and much more. They serve a vital role in our church body.

BRAD DAVIS
We have been a part of Watkinsville First Baptist Church for over eleven years. All four of our children Isabelle, Callie, Lilia, and Josiah have been baptized here. We have felt the church’s commitment to love and serve families and have been blessed by that intentional ministry. Over the years we have served many times in VBS, church nursery, Sunday morning classes, and most recently in Youth. We are thankful to serve at a Jesus and bible centered church and experience the body of Christ.

DAVID SCHUMANN
Barb and I moved to the Athens area in December of 2003 and were attracted to WFBC because they had the AWANA program which we had been involved in at several other churches where we had lived. Large number of college aged person attending the church was also an indication of a healthy church reaching out to its community. I am currently serving as leader of a Small Group of "older" persons that meets on Sunday evenings.
