What's at the top of your Christmas list?
GOING is a reality this morning as Pastor Robbie and I head to Guatemala for three days. Pray for us as we meet with Nathan Hardeman and Engadi Ministries regarding future involvement in the work there.
GROUNDBREAKING will be Sunday at 5pm in the courtyard. Everyone from babies to senior adults come pray together as we kick off construction of new ministry space. We will meet about 30 minutes. Also, we will have a section of the grass from the courtyard for everyone to take home with you. It will be a fun and memorable time.
ACTS 1:8 is a big part of our vocabulary and a major guide in how we go to our world. We carry on the commission the first disciples were given by Christ to tell our “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth” this great news of salvation. We take this month to hear, see, pray, and give in order to go to our neighbors and the nations.
ACTS 1:8 is also a designated offering for us. Pray about how the Lord wants you to invest in the advance of the gospel. Half goes to support the 4500 missionaries serving internationally, a fourth goes to support the 5000 missionaries serving in the US and Canada and a fourth goes to help those in our church family to go on short term mission projects in 2019.
Every year during this time we make a Christmas list. Giving to Acts 1:8 in my mind is a way to put Jesus at the top of this list. I hope you will do the same.
I love you. See you Sunday!
