The Apostle Paul's letters in the NT show the encouragement churches and Christians enjoyed due to personal visits. Paul spoke of "longing to see" when he wrote to the churches. This past weekend Carla and I were part of time like this with church friends and family who live in Boston. We visited with Bill and Jan Hager, long time members of WFBC, who now serve there with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ International) sharing the Gospel with faculty at MIT, Harvard, and other colleges and universities in the northeast. We also visited and worshipped with Renewal Church in downtown Boston, where five former UGA students now attend and serve. Such good things are happening in these ministries!
In mid November, I will travel to Southeast Asia to see 3 families from our church that are on the front lines of advancing the Gospel to unreached people. Pray with me that the Spirit of God will use this contact to encourage and strengthen our co-laborers.
This Sunday, we will be in Daniel 10. What an amazing chapter. Please read it a few times before Sunday. It is a chapter that moves us to "focus on what is unseen and not on what is seen." It is a chapter that speaks of angels and demons, prayer and fasting, along with fear, courage, and love. What a chapter!
Remember to sign up for our November 6 Family Matters Conference.
Finally, just a reminder that from 7-8 each Wednesday night there is corporate prayer in The Shed. I would love for you to join us.
I love you,
