"O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old..." Those words were written by the sons of Korah and recorded in Psalm 44:1. The rest of the psalm gives an account of the work of the Lord in the history of the Israelites and concludes offering thanksgiving to God for his faithfulness and celebrating His steadfast love.
On Sunday at 9, 10:15, and 11:30 we will meet in the Life Building and I want to tell you what our Father has done and is doing in the life of WFBC. I want you to hear with your ears the deeds He has performed over our 137-year history. I want to offer an account of the miracles and milestones of WFBC with the confidence there is much ahead God still wants to do through us. I believe the story will encourage our faith and lead to thanksgiving and celebration.
Sunday night at 5 will be our Church Conference for the purpose of voting on whether we will move ahead with plans for adding and repurposing ministry space. *BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR AN ADDITIONAL EMAIL THIS WEEK WITH MORE INFO ON OUR VOTE AND THE EXACT WORDING OF THE RECOMMENDATION FROM OUR CHURCH LEADERSHIP.
I’m very excited to share the long range master plan of the use of our entire property for years to come was approved by the County Commission Tuesday night without opposition. One neighbor of our church, who serves as a commissioner, spoke up expressing his appreciation for our church and commended us for being good neighbors. This is a huge win for us when thinking about the use of our property for years to come. If we vote to develop the constructions plans, then will begin the process of gathering the specific details from each ministry area of specific design needs. Actual construction dates will be set at a later date in light of the timing of gathering the design needs and our giving toward the project.
These are days for us to bathe the life of our church in prayer. Pray for wisdom, direction, provision, and for God to be glorified in all we do.
To God be the glory...
