First, this Sunday night at 6pm our worship ministry will lead us in a night of worship. Over the past months they have been working on a special hymns project and they will introduce that to us that evening. It's going to be a great night of encouragement and corporate worship for all ages.
Second, Sunday morning we continue our series, "Church Matters" by taking a look at the truth we believe and teach. Any gathering of people can hang a sign that says "church." The doctrine of that gathering determines if this group is a true biblical church. And I hope you see even by that previous statement that what a church believes about the Bible and what's written in the Bible IS what matters. (Reminder that Sunday we are meeting at 9, 10:15, and 11:30 and in both Life Building and Sanctuary at 10:15.)
Third, if you haven't heard or even if you have, our Acts 1:8 Missions Offering total has broken through our goal of 200k with a total given of just over $208,000!!! This is almost a 40% increase over last year! This generosity is just astounding to me.
Fourth, last Sunday night our church family voted to begin the development of construction plans for additional ministry space. Over the next weeks each ministry area will be prioritizing their needs for future space and submitting those to our design/build team for plan development. These plans should be drawn and completed by the end of summer.
So there you go a prayer list and a praise list. It's a great day to be in Watkinsville.
I love you
