Why membership at Watkinsville?
Membership matters here at Watkinsville. More than calling this your church home, we believe membership means committing your life to this group of believers and joining us on the mission to make wholehearted followers of Christ. We would love for you to consider joining us! Click below to view our newest members.
How do I become a member?
Attend A Membership InFO NIGHT
Our Membership info night is designed for people interested in joining the church or who want to learn more about Watkinsville First Baptist. Whether you have been attending a few weeks or many years we would love to have you attend. At this event you will learn more about where we have been and where we believe God is leading us. You will hear from Carlos and staff talk about what it means to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and what it means to be a part of that journey in the context of the local church. At the end of the night you can decide to move forward in the process or take some time some time to think and pray about the decision.
*Registration is required. Childcare is available for this event.
Our next membership event is scheduled for april 15.
Share Your Story
The second step in our membership process is to share your testimony with a pastor of the church. Through the registration process you will submit a brief testimony of how you came to fait in Christ and share more about your journey when you meet with a pastor.
MEET WITH A PASTOR
At the end of the membership info night, you can indicate if you are ready to move forward. For those who registered early for the event, there might be an option to meet with a pastor at the end of the event. Everyone else who is ready to move forward can schedule their appointment to meet with a pastor at another time. After meeting with a pastor, your membership process will be completed.* If you are not ready to move forward and need more time to pray through this decision, you can indicate that on a card at the end of the event.
*Some membership details will need to be finalized before the process is completed.
