Waking Up to Different - Fall 2016 Sunday Teaching Series.
This fall we all will wake up to a very different world—for the first time in eight years we will have a different president. For the first time in fifteen years, we have a different football coach. For the first time in your life you may find yourself with a different home, different roommates, a different job, or a different major. No matter your experience, the world is a different place today than it was yesterday.
Starting August 21st, Watkinsville First Baptist will be studying through the Old Testament book of Daniel -- a man in the Bible who experienced “different.” Daniel woke up to a different country, a different leader, a different culture and different laws. He even woke up to a different diet anddifferent name. How do you survive, let alone thrive, in that kind of world? We at Watkinsville would like to invite you to accompany us as we journey through Daniel’s story together.
Join us as at one of our three services for this study: 9am, 10:15am, or 11:30am.
Tell me more about this series?
Each week we will be looking at the text of the Old Testament book of Daniel. One of our pastors will take a chapter from this book, bring out the main points, and then talk about how it relates to our life.
What are Sunday services?
Sunday Services are simply a gathering of people who belong to our church plus others who want to worship with us. We usually sing some songs together, take an offering (this is voluntary, and mostly for those who call themselves members of our church), have a prayer time, and then listen to one of our pastors teach. The whole service lasts about an hour.

If you are new to our church, go to the "I'm New" page.
How do I find you?
1610 Simonton Bridge Rd. Watkinsville GA 30621. Click here for google maps
What do I do when I show up?
Try to arrive a few minutes before the service starts. After you park your car, you can either head straight towards the service or drop off your kids. If you are dropping off kids, you can head towards what we call "WatKIDSville." This is the building closest to Norton Road (or on the Athens side of our campus). If you are going straight to the service, go to the building in the back of our campus (Life Building) for either the 9am, 10:15am, or 11:30am service or go the the building in the middle of our campus (Sanctuary) for the 10:15am service. This page has more info about services and kids programming. If you have any trouble finding your way around, there are people who will be happy to assist you! You can always find some of these helpers in the Cafe at the information desk, located in the Sanctuary building (located at the center of our campus and closest to Simonton Bridge Rd).
What should I wear?
Whatever you are comfortable wearing. You will see people wear every day casual and others who might be more business casual.
