Proverbs 28:1 "The wicked flee when no one is pursuing [them], but the righteous are as bold as a lion."
When not living above reproach, fear of exposure can be paralyzing. Secret sin can lead men and women to feel ashamed, inadequate, and hypocritical. As a result, believers become silent and the spread of the Gospel is hindered. How can there be boldness to share the Gospel when sin is eating away at the courage of the Church? Proverbs 28:13 reminds us the answer comes from God's mercy: "The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy." God is merciful to forgive sin. And God allows us to be righteous before Him through faith in Jesus.
Begin in prayer today by confessing your sin and ask for boldness to follow His Word. Pray also for a movement of repentance in the Church and bold workers for the harvest.
